its not good? oh please!!... One thing you all seem to forget is that this is his first appearance in LA. He's basically introducing himself to the whole LA scene and of course he's gonna play the tracks he deems as most popular. It's more to give off a good first impression. If you were a DJ and playing in a foreign city for the first time would you bust out new tracks? Think bout it!!! You all have been spoiled by listening to these recorded live mixes and so you know wat record he usually spins. If you didnt have access to the recorded live mixes I think you would be more appreciative. Also, you know that if you were part of the audience in LA, as I was, then you'd go crazy even if you knew wat songs he was playing. So dont complain. Tiesto rocks and so does Magik 7!!!!!!

magik 7 is pretty good, but its nowhere near magik 5 or 6... mixing is good, no complaints, which brings me to his revolution mix... umm seriously now, it doesnt sound like tiesto mixed that compilation... weird!

Well said wushuboy, I agree with you that he did need to make a good first impression on the US, the reason all those tunes are played out is because they are all GOOD and most Americans haven't even heard of them. By putting the good, ole', and trusted tunes on the compilation, Magik 7 was going to be an assured hit, in the US at least. That's what Tiesto was aiming for. All of you saying that Tiesto's Magik 7 "sucked" or "was his worst" need to look at it from his own shoes, not your own, a live set isn't just defined by what songs are played, you have to take into account other factors such as where the DJ is playing and who his audience is. I can guarantee you that the LA crowd watching Tiesto had the night of their lives, imagine yourself listening to ALL these tunes TOGETHER for the 1st time!! Think of how cool that would be! Your mind wouldn't be able to comprehend such good tunes put together in one set! Hope you guys catch my drift...

i agree with trancegeek (no attitude here )
its good, not great. magik 6 rules all..
but it IS interesting to see his track placement, we're used to seeing stringer earlier and lost vagueness as well... and das glockenspiel later on.
so its fun to see how he mixes and where he cues, like 3 drives into humate was very surprising to me... he didnt mix it the way (cut at the point) he or most other djs do normally, opting to skip over the mini-breakdown... an interesting twist. or maybe its to hold the attn of that LA "trance-newbie" crowd? hehehe who knows

if id heard all these tracks for the first time i probably would have a different opinion. that's prob why i loved magik 6 so much
but all the magiks are quite breathtaking
