Isn't this why people turn into Progressive House, and then turn more and more into Jazz?

I know a lot of people in this situation.

When you come to think of it, James Holden - Nothing, or Way Out West - Questions Never Answered is kinda Jazzy...

Anyways, the style usually changes as the years goes by, of course!
I don't listen to Dune and Scooter as much as I did in 1995

... I don't really like all of the trance I used to like before, my taste has matured a lot. I believe that is was the intensive, more like abusive listening to DJ Tiesto's In Search Of Sunrise 2 back in 2001 that turned it all around... I don't know, nowadays I'm more into progressive something, and *some* progressive house...

However, everything outside of the electronic spectre is considered by me as boring, non interesting, bshi*, especially rock and pop.
Let's face it, you're going to have to mature, when you are getting older, and your date asks you to play some romantic music, FORGET IT, trance is not the deal here. It's 99% sure that she'll hate the music and feel uncomfortable, and you're not going to get some!

However, I'm not at this stage just yet hehe

Its all about time, i love the music and as i see it, its one of the most beautiful things we have in the world and it will last forever, doesnt matter if you are listening to rock, hip hop, trance etc etc. Things might change, you can listen to trance now but you'll be rocking to some irish music about 10 years from now...
For an example, i used to hate rock and pop (The Father of gayness), but since this year i have started to like some songs, and why ?
Dont know

Its all about time.

I think it is stupid to say you will be listening to trance all your life - it may seem that way but then at the time you go off differnt genres of music as they evolve. I started off listening to Happy Hardcore then moved onto Drum & Bass then onto house music then to trance now. While I was listening to all those types of music I thought that was it I would listen to it forever more but it doesn't work like that.

for you it doesn't work like that, but how do you know it's the same with everybody? of course people's musical tastes evolve, but that doesn't mean that you have to ditch your old music, that's just stupid IMO! showing commitment towards your music is a good thing IMO! i'm as committed to trance like i'm committed to my girlfriend: for life. the relationship changes as time goes on, but still i strongly believe that it'll hold!

ah good to see this thread finally oging osmewhere with constructive inputs....

guess we're the generation to take the trance trend forward...if im notm istaken , trance was definitely not as widelyl istened to by previous geenrations as it is now..i bleive the first piece of electronica music resembling trance even a bit came out in the early 60s....so form that perspective, trance as a mausical genre is still in its infancy and its up to us mother******s to take the message forward.....
