people should really make a difference between albums and (dj mixed) compilations, because there is a difference. people just list all kinds of compilations in album threads. wtf is that??? those are NOT albums. ok?

My favorite compilation mix is still, and will probably always be Gatecrasher - Wet. As for albums, I don't listen to them quite as often because I like more variety, although many artists are varied on their own but you know what I mean. I think maybe some Underworld albums, Aphex Twin - I care because you do, Daft Punk - Homework is cool, Timo Maas - Loud I think is a fantastic work although I hear people insult it a lot just on principle (but insulting music just on principle I think is pretty retarded). Hmmm... that's it for now but all the gatecrasher compilations rule... wowee...

Well I'll comment on really good older trance compilations..
Paul Oakenfold-Tranceport-as mentioned already
Summerbreeze by Tiesto
Trancemath by Armin van Buuren the last 2 are excellent pure classic trance, I still listen to them once in a while when I am nostalgic, same as Oakies Tranceport.
Another great comp is gatecrashers Disco-tech, in my opinion the best gatecrasher album out to date. And of course there were the first 3 trance nations by Ferry Corsten that were pretty good. Kontor volume 6 2nd cd was wicked, especially the last 10 songs mixed by Arek, really blows you away!!!
Thats all I can think right now for good old comps..but there are dozens more, I think those are you basic best comps from 99-2001

After you have listened to all of these albums you'd badly need some chillout stuff, so listen to Blank & Jones - Relax.
