And though I had already voted, I personally cannot recommend any of these three crap phones when you can buy better even for DJing.

I've been buying Pioneer equipment for close to 15 years now and I've always been very very happy with each Pioneer purchase. I've owned these headphones for close to a year now and through continued use, I have never once had a problem with them at all. I've even spun out with them a couple of times and still...no problem. I even think that they are very nice for club and rave mixing too. Maybe you should reevaluate how much abuse you and your friends put on your headphones before you start bashing a well established company, because it sounds like you don't take as good of care of them as you should. And before you even retort, if you did take good care of them, why are they broken while hundreds of other owners have kept theirs in mint shape? |
Ba-ha! Yeah buddy,,, I threw them on the ground after every mix
They're cheaply made headphones. period.
I'd like to see you eat your words WHEN your pair breaks

the cord was broken out of the box, and there is no way the shipping could have caused that. as i said, many people have had this problem.

Well, buying something that comes broken isn't really comparable to something that arrives in good condition and then breaks on you. I'm sure that with this still relatively new product, it is possible that they have some production line problems. Did you buy them online? Are you sure that it's not the online dealer that is shady rather than Pioneer? And if you got them at a retail store, then a simple exchange is all that is needed.

Serioulsy,,, just listen to what I have to say.
I baught these heaphones when they first came out,,, and mine along with the three other people who baught them at the same time as me,,, have all had serious problems. In all three cases,,, the right earphone would completely cut out. I also saw someone in this forum who had the EXACT same problem. Coincedence? I think not.
DON'T BUT THE PIONEER,,, THEY ARE A PIECE OF SHIT.
Sure they look nice,,, and might seem to sound great when you first get them,,, but the flaw is in how they are built. If you only use them once in awhile I suppose you'll be okay. But if you use them everyday and are a serious deejay go with something else. |
Hey wow youre wrong! I have had them for a while now, use them every day for hours and hours no problems at all. They are great, and i like them a lot better than the sonys, presently they are the best buy you can get for DJing i have no complaints at all with them they are the best! If they were initially defective i am sure the problems have been worked out because you and those 3 others or so are the only complaints ive ever seen on em, and sorry but youre fulla shit lolz

24K, if you don't like the Pioneers, you'll definitely hate the Sonys, too. The Sonys are very cheaply made, as well, with a major design flaw involving the swivel hinges (which are very prone to cracking within months even with little light use). The heavy, unbalanced design of the Sonys makes that swivel cracking even more likely. And when those (on the Sony V700's) begin to crack, no one knows for sure how long it will take before the sound will cut out on one or both earpieces. I expected far greater durability at the $100 to $150 USD price range at which the Sonys sell for - but I was very disappointed with the Sonys, in terms of reliability.
And the Stanton DJ Pro-2000 isn't as well regarded as either the Pioneer or the Sony, on the whole. I haven't heard those particular Stantons, but I wouldn't expect them to sound any better than even the murky-sounding Sonys, let alone the Pioneers.
