The Citroen AX does only have 3 Stud wheels. Unfortunately, that leave very few designs of alloy wheels around. Off the top of my head there are only like 5 different designs from 2 manufacturers max!

In MAx power there are always some pages on alloy wheels and there is always a small section on 3 STud wheels.

Alloys DO increase premiums on your car for a few reasons.

1: they add to the value of the car.
2: They make the car more desirable to thieves.
3: In the event of a crash, and your wheels get buggered, it'll cost more to replace them (related to reason 1)

However, on certain insurance policies (usually by specialist companies in the back of Max Power), they will not add to the rpemium of your car if u have Alloys on 3rd PT, or 3PFT poliicies, asthose policies do not pay for damage to your car in the event of an accident.

Of course good rims will increase performance on your car via increased handling and stability. You will experience marginally less body roll around corners. And of course you will feel the true benefits of big wheels with a decent suspension setup!

And if you're willing to spend, then you can actually get Stud conversions on cars, and you could convert your car to a 5 stud format and get some nice big 20" chromes! That would get you into Max Power!

you can get a conversion kit (much the same as a sex change) but i would advise just to wait and buy better stuff for your next car mate

ive had 5 cars now since i was 17, 22 now - its no good wasting money on shit cars (no offence but its only an AX)

yeah so id sell the thing after a while and get smg with a bigger engine

ive been pondering this thought. either i can spend about £1000 roughly making it good, sound system, alloy's, mini things like re-spreay bunmper and shit, or i can flog it (guessing about £1000), put £1500 with that and see what i can find for £2500, depends what insurance will think of me with a bigger engine. after all i do to my 1.1, it still struggles abit up hills..

ill let know.

OI! DOn't mock Seat Ibiza's! I've got a top example of one, 1.4L Engine, 95/M Mk2! Then again, my system is worth 60% of the car
