Buying a huge machine won't help you

I think your problem is just not working out daily. You said yourself that you used to go to the gym but got lazy after working full time. I think that is your major problem not a machine. You need to get serious about working out but ppl think that buying the big and best equipment will do. Running 2 miles 4 times a week and doing situps and pushups and getting some barbells to lift for the arms should do you good. I considered getting bowflex then realized I have a home gym here and i started to use it again and I'm running again. I feel great and remember working out means nothing without proper diet.

there a lot u can do with just a set of "dumbells" (im not referring to the guys who hang out here)

    bicepts (curls)
    tricepts
    lats
    deltoids (extenting arms over head)
    squats
    calves
chest (pushups + lieing on back bring arms together)
    stomach (situps)

Of course its not as sexy as the bowflex. I'd rather go to the gym cause its less boring than at home besides u get to watch those hot chicks doing aerobics talk bout motivation!

if you want to put on some body mass, try using cell-tech its worked great for me...or if u ever go to the states pick up a 1-testosterone there(T-Bomb, T-100, Andro Nitrate). if you want good muscle density, change up your workout routine every couple weeks...don't overtrain thou make sure u get at least a one day rest. and the most important thing is to eat as much as you can!

This has nothing do do with the bowflex but I'll post it here anyways since we're talking about the same subject. I'm a skinny guy and I"ve been going to the gym for about a month and a half, I usually go every second day. I"m trying to build up some muscle but I haven't used any protien or anything yet. What exactly does protien do? will it help me build muscle faster? And can you reccomend any good brands of protien to buy, thanks.

taking protein is just like eating a lot of meat or whatever..you need a certain amount in your body to feed your muscles so that your muscles will grow...u can either eat a lot of high protein food, or buy the powder....if you want a meal replacement try APM 60. This has 60 grams of protein which is reallllly good..but i would recomend Nitrotech, but the only real nitrotech that actually has nitrogen in it(so your muscles wont get as sore) is int he united states...u can find it some places in canada but it is a controlled substance. Try Whey Gourmet...they have really good flavours and have a good protein amount. Ideally you want to take the same amount of protein per day as your body weight...so if you weigh 150lbs, try and eat 150 grams of protein per day.. if you do this you will get really good gains fast.

Cool thanks, I don't really want a meal replacement, is Whey Gourmet one of those? or are all the protien shakes meal replacements?

But you also need to ask yourself what type of meal replacement bar you want. High-carb for quick energy or high-protein for losing weight?

With combined exercise it does, because they are general low-carb. Well, the ones I get are.
