Allthough I agree with the topic totally, this is just a fine example of how different people's taste are, as some have said already.

It was a simpsons quote.

Homer said it shortly after telling Mr. Burns that he wasn't easily impressed. But you all already knew that.

ha ha.

for instance, there are several people jizzing over the markus schulz remix of as the rush comes. i am just listening to a sample and hear these repulsive male vocals. the background sounds like a busy factory. this remix sucks ass cheeks, but you don't see any discriminating listeners in the thread about it because they like music based on names, not actually music.

what I can't really understand is when ppl go wild after hearing yet another uplifting tune with the same elements of tons of other tunes. (obviously, these apply to genres other than uplifting, but here that's what you note more)

As The Rush Comes was ripped from Markus Schulz's DJ set, the Male vocals are not in the remix. People that are talking about it have heard it in a club when G&D played it or on a better quality radio stream last night. If you were making your critique on a song from hearing a 40 kbs Radio rip, then maybe there should be a thread titled "Too easily dismissed as not good". You have to remember music is art, and not everyone likes the mona lisa. But people who do like the mona lisa are passionate about that painting.

"replusive male vocals?" "busy factory?" what the hell song are you listening to! markus' remix does NOT have male vocals, there were accapella vocals from another song laid over the beginning of as the rush comes...i can honestly say a lot of people on these boards like the music obviously for the music and not the names...didn't you ever see that darude thread awhile back about how everyone was all impressed with their new CD? get a clue.

One of the things I'm a bit worried about to, is that if we don't start to demand quality, we won't get it. I recall many people in the past couple of months saying that nothing good seems to be coming out lately, or that the music in a slump. Sure, it could very well be that, but maybe it's because alot of the stuff coming out is to humor those who aren't particularly difficult to please.
