some girl where i live got ghb'd and died. note that none of the ppl at this party were from where i live but it made national news.

my 2nd cousin died from ghb.. they dont know if he was using it or if he was drugged by someone else

If so, then I would think that the consecuenses of those laws would not be benificial for the government nor the people in any way... I mean 5 year sentence only for possession!!! That's way too much, mainly because you aren't hurting anybody besides yourself while rolling.

In some parts if the US, like New Jersey, you can get 2 years per pill is you get caught.

That's extreme. I'm not sure how to feel about strict consequences for drug posession. On the one hand, I do drugs myself so that would be hypocritical. On the other, I've only done one drug in my life (no it's not weed, it's E), so I don't have the right to judge other drug users.

I hate GHB, I hate what it does, I hate "popularity" of it in the US clubs, I hate the reasons for using it.

I had two friends pass out in clubs, go into convulsions, get thrown onto the street by the bouncer, left to die, have thier hearts jumped started by EMCs, and wake up in the hospital. The ironic part about this is that they still do GHB every weekend, but looks down on me doing E occasionally. hahha.

Dude, your friends are fucked up. G has a huge reaction/dosage ratio, and it completely goes ga ga when mixed with alcohol.

Never done G, never want to. Read up on it, simply not interested. IMO E is 'safer', and i have researched it, (yes i know no drug is safe, but painting them all with the same brush is like saying all cartoons are for kids).

I saw some interesting article about GHB on mixmag july 2003 issue.

I heard that the in the UK, they rehabilitate their drug offenders after they serve a relatively light prison sentence. I wish they dealt with it the same way in the US. It makes a lot more sense than throwing guys with a couple pills on them in jail for 20 years and then having them sit in prison doing more drugs and them turning them back loose to society again.

i think some states in the US has it.
cal has prop 36(i cannt remember) that let you choose wheather you go jail or do some rehab thing.
my gf just done it for possession of e and k and weed(she covered up for me) and being under the influence of acid(this was her only time that she did acid)
i also had done some rehab thing for my DUI of e(i dont do this anymore)

The reality is that GHB is the safest recreational drug there is (at a reasonable dose), safer than alcohol or whatever.
On paper, GHB is about as bad for your body as water, the compound itself is non-toxic, and clears the body completely in a matter of hours. It metabolizes into small amounts of carbon dioxide and water, which are both obviously non-toxic.

The problem is that PEOPLE DONT KNOW HOW TO USE IT. You must know the exact concentration and your tolerance or you're taking a huge risk. Would you pop an E that might have either 100mg or 3000mg of MDMA?? I dont think so...
