Thanks, its from Echo (morning view)
Ironically I first started listening from Morning View and I've gone back to their earlier stuff and though its not the same I love it.
Anyone going to Lollapalooza at Nissan Pavilion? I'm going to try for some tickets but it depends...I'd love to see them live. I've never seen them live, I heard its amazing, anyone know? |
OMFG!!!!!!!!!! They are unbelievable live, brandon improvises w/ their tracks sooo much, leaving out chourses adding little parts etc. Kilmore adds different touches to the tracks. Wow they are unreal i wish i could see em this summer, but im not gonna pay $80 to see em play a shorter set than they would if they were headlining

check out their roots.
the fungus amongus is far hard to find,
try..New Skin and other tracks from S.C.I.E.N.C.E.
there was also 'enjoy the incubus'
Kilmore only got in recently, replacing their previous DJ
if you want to see his real skill
check out 'just a phase' and 'echoes'..even 'are you in?'
most soothing track would have to be 'aqueous transmission'
they went for the exotic instruments and the relaxing sounds of nature...
those are actual frogs,
they put about 100 mics outside of the house they stayed in during the recording of 'morning view' and recorded those samples.
favorite track...
Glass, it's amazing.
Kilmore wasn't in the band at those times,
but check out the video of when they played that Live at some place, recently
and, well
you will see the true abilities and maturity of the band as a whole, in the present. |
Kilmore replaced DJ Lyfe now known as DJ 1987, Kilmore adds a lot more to the band IMO, relations once got so bad w/ the band and Lyfe that during one of their live shows in france, he turned the distortion up so loud that it totally drowned out the rest of the band. He just stood behind the decks w/ his hands up in the air kinda like "yeah thats me doin that I'm the shit" soon after this incident Incubus asked him to leave the band, then they got Kilmore.
If you ever get a chance to see their morning view dvd you can really see how kilmore does what he does, and just how precise he has to be!
Glass is hands down my fav. Incubus tune as well no way to describe it, just listen to it!

What do you put into your live sets that has made you a dancefloor favorite for the past decade?
"I’m a dance floor favorite? Great! I would say the passion that I feel for the music I buy and the honesty with how I play it. I play the records I love not the ones that simply work. I’ve never taken the easy music option (which would make me a lot more money by the way) but chosen to push people a little. I try to draw people in a new direction slightly and expand their taste a little more than other DJ’s." - Lee Burridge
