get the pioneer djm-600

my brothers had ours for 3 years and i've been using it properly for nearly a year. every day you learn how to do new stuff on it with the efeects and shit.

plus it is so easy to use.

the best 600 pounds ever spent.

but if you would prefer a cheaper mixer then probably the vestax or numark range would be better suited

the DJX700 from behringer is an almost exact copy of the DJM600 and it's alot cheaper than 600£

I don't care if it's a copy or not, I care about price and quality. Face it, 200 of the 600 pounds you payd on the pioneer are for the brand name. Another 150 pounds is for all kind of taxes for the import of all the parts into 1 country and exporting the finished mixer to your country. so, that leaves 250 pounds for the parts...
That's why behringer is cheaper. It makes the same parts in the country where the mixer is sold => no taxes, no shipping costs.

Look, As far as I'm concerned, the brand name is "majoewina", I don't care! As long as they give a good quality mixer that is worth its price. So what it's a copy, it's a hard world and the market of mixers isn't monopolised. If pioneer can make an as good mixer as behringer for a better price or a better quality, people WILL buy the pioneer mixer and not the behringer mixer. That's the way the economy works.

Yes... thats how the economy works.
And I would have to agree that behringer mixers aren't of bad quality and are of relatively good quality... as with all products time will tell.
I just don't think they should copy another mixer because they have a chance to get away with it, profits will be high if it doesn't get sued.
However... we've yet to see pioneer say anything about this so it would be a pretty safe bet to go with that mixer seeing as how most people in this forum seem to have good experiences with behringer mixers and it won't most likely go out of circulation - (a line of their speakers went down after being sued by the original manufacturer-ill see if i can find some more).
I think with a mixer like that, you're really getting your money's worth as long as its not cheaply built, so it should last a decent amount of time (or maybe if everyone's unlucky the mixers fall apart after 2 years - or last 10 years).

listen, i would still buy the pioneer. not only cos i like it better, but the fact that pioneer did years of research and development, spent millions of pounds on producing a mixer that for many years was the best on the market, then this behringer mob come along take pioneers mixer copy it, stick their name on it then sell it as there own. maybe thats why it's so cheap, because they spent fuck all on research.
