That was a great night. Totally worth it! I was at the pre-party meet up at Tortillia flats. It was cool meeting all you guys there, fun chatting having a laugh before heading to the club. Great meeting some of you guys I haven't met before: Ninjapimp, DJ Rocco (you didn't add me to the pre meet up list ), Endlesswave etc... Nightcreature it was great meeting you, glad you had a great time. Az, Margaret, Graham..pleasure to see you guys again.
Spent most of first part of the night in the VIP, nice warm up for sure. But when Hernan came on I couldn't be peeled from the front. Was up there with Techno addict and his crew being totally mesmerized by the amazing shit that dude was dropping. From floaty melody lines to dirty tribal beats, I did not want to leave! Subsequently, I was very dissappointed when I went into the VIP to realize the trance was winding down. I missed the trance! I loved the prog in the main room, but I was craving the trance by the end of the night..and I missed it. Damn!!
THere were other people I had the pleasure of meeting and/or chatting with. TranceXtacy, Jenna and Mike, Diginut...the list goes on!
All in all I give the night an A.

I will preface this post off by saying I will inevitably forget to mention some people I met last night. So don't be offended...I'm almost as bad with names as I am with progressive.
Got there at 11:30-ish, guest list went smoothly, saw Hordash in line apparently, but didn't know it was him. (Sorry, I'm the only person on this board who doesn't know ya from the back. har.) Saw him inside which allowed me to quickly offload those two Misstress Barbara CDs that I burned (thanks for the choco martini in return) and, strangely, made my way to the BACK room...where I thought the TA night was. Oops!
I spent most of the night discovering that ONE picture on the internet identifies you to the entire universe, as people were coming up to me and saying "hey Skipper" which left me completely stupified since I had no idea who you all were.
From what I recall, I spoke with:
- Hordash
- John (can't type out your TA name - too complicated )
- TechnoAddict
- Diginut
- Endless Wave
- Tatgirl
- torontobarfly
- Cuzo
- Timetoburn
- Diesidel
- Mecca (sp)
- oh shit, I know there are more, but I forget. SEE?!
Anyways, I had a fun time. I had to call it a night since I had been up since 5:30am that morning, and my bed was calling. (and the subway was going to stop running.)
Looking forward to seeing you all at the next installment...hopefully with some techno as well

Long & Detailed review
This was an amazing party! I had a blast!
To start off a big thanx goes to E2EK1EL_D3 for putting me on the guestlist! I thanked you in the club and I just want to thank you once again. Thanx to all the TAs who showed up to this event! A big thanx goes to the DJs who made the night awesome! Also a huge thanx goes to the organizers of this event, you guys are the best!!!!
TA pre-party meet up
-----------------------------------------------------------
I’ve came to the TA pre-party meet up at Tortilla Flats. I searched the restaurant for any sign of TAs, and after almost giving up hope of finding anyone, I went to the back of the restaurant and there I saw Margaret. She introduced me to Andrew, Pierre, Chris, Graham, and other TAs. We chatted for a little bit and when we were about to leave Aslan showed up and before we knew it he ordered a big ass plate of food! Which he had to finish quickly , because we were in a hurry. But being tall and all he didn’t have a problem cleaning up his plate
Once we payed up at the restaurant, we hurried to Systems. It was around 10:15 and the place was still closed! We waited there for a little bit and before we entered, Craig (torontobarfly) showed up and I’ve been introduced to him. Once inside I quickly went to the VIP room and mecha was already spinning melodic progressive house.
DJs and sets
-----------------------------------------------------------
Mecha’s set was great in terms of track selection but his mixing needed some work . I was listening and chatting with Andrew so maybe I missed a few good mixes . The set was great to chill too . Many tracks were very melodic and beautiful. Overall it was great chillout set!
Dj Mute came on next. His set had a great deal of melody, it was danceable and I think he dropped Sasha – Xpander(remix?)! I went crazy when he dropped it. His mixing was awesome! The tracklist consisted of very melodic progressive house. I think he later teamed up with Vagrant and they were spinning together, because I’ve noticed that the DJs were alternating every couple of tracks or so. Overall an awesome set! Great to dance too!
Vagrant’s set was the highlight of my night. I must say that this was the most beautiful progressive trance/breaks set that I’ve ever heard. I’m a sucker for melody. Vagrant you’ve got to post one of your live turntable sets on TA!!!! And you definitely have to post your tracklist from Systems if you can remember it! This set consists of very/extremely melodic progressive trancers. Vagrant’s mixing was really really good . I could hardly notice the transitions. Vagrant knows exactly when to start and when to finish your mixes. Very smooth mix. His track selection was amazing! Overall an amazing set! Amazing to dance to! Was flying! Bravo! Finishing with Rank1 – Breathing Awesome!!!
Dj Eso’s set was an awesome trance set. Awesome mixing. Great track selection! Very banging set! Great to dance to dance to! Eso dropped many uplifting trancers, he knows exactly when to star and when to finish his mixes. A very smooth set! Finishing with Rank1 – Airwave! When he dropped PVD – For An Angel the room was jumping! I could see the turntables shaking so hard that I was worried that the vinyl would starts to skip! An awesome set! Great to dance to! Awesome overall!
Walter Mindz’s set was filled with hard/uplifting trancers. A great set! It was awesome to dance too. By that time I was soo exhausted, but Mindz still managed to make me move! A few beat mismatches, but nothing major. At the end of Mindz’s set, E2EK1EL_D3 convinces Mindz to play Push – Strange World and the whole place exploded! Overall a great set!
Overall the all the sets get a 10/10. I take my hat off to all the DJs, bravo guys, bravo!
The club/TA room/crowed
-----------------------------------------------------------
Very few people were smoking, smoking up, or doing drugs, which is always a plus! I hate dancing in a room filled with cigarette smoke, pot smoke, etc... The speaker system in the room was a bit busted. Sometimes, some speakers would suddenly cut out, which is was a bit annoying but nothing more than that. There were no lasers in the room , but who cares cause there were many glow stickers!
In the ta vip room the crowed was awesome! I mean the majority of people in the room were TAs . The room was filled with very friendly, energetic, fun and interesting buch of people! Most of the people that I’ve talked too were either going to university/college or have already graduated. A very mature crowed.
There was more than enough room to dance! There was always room to sit on the couches!
Overall the setting was amazing! Very well organized! 10/10
Overall...
-----------------------------------------------------------
Overall this was the best party I’ve been to in my entire life, hands down! Great DJs! Very well organized! Lots of room to dance! Lots of room to seat! Great people! Also if you’ve noticed, the sets were building up/ progressing from one DJ to the next/ There were no pauses or halts between DJ sets! It started off with progressive house and then moved to melodic progressive house, trance, melodic trance, uplifting trance, and then hard trance! Basically the music was always building up!
Props to Nat for making to this one. I hope that your arm will heal very soon! Props to all the TAs that I’ve meet but forgot to mention in my post. I’m just so overwhelmed after this event that my memory has gone blank! I’ve been destroyed mentally, by the music, and physically! My legs and my entire body is completely sore from all the dancing! Oooh, please don’t flame me for the long post

Alright, here comes my review, followed by a pathetic attempt at shoutouts:
Kicked it off early at about 10:15 with Jeff (TECHno Addict) and his friends in line - also, a bunch of you guys were right behind me but didn't notice (Chris, Margs, Az, and the rest of the crew). A fair number of TAs in the VIP room almost right away, so the night started out pretty nice. Mecha's set was pretty bangin', and Mute's set was awesome (as expected ).
Right before I got in, the bouncers were pissed - apparently there were four "Joe C"s on the guest list and they were not very happy about it. "What's the big deal, when the 5th Joe C shows up, don't let him in." Hahaha... that was pretty funny.
Around this time I started wandering... found out eventually from Dan that Cattaneo had been on for 20 minutes already (WTF, how did I not notice that?). Anyway, he KILLED me for a good couple hours, really really amazing set. The VIP room kinda died somewhere in the middle of Cattaneo's set, which I guess shouldn't be much of a surprise since the headliner was on, but I liked it better the first time when it was active all night.
The speaker in the VIP room kept cutting out, which sucked. Hopefully they'll upgrade the sound in there soon. Also, it was damn hot, even before Cattaneo came on I had to go to the main room a few times just to cool off. Breaks room didn't hold my interest either.
So the obvious plus of the night was that there were TONS OF TRANCEADDICTS! I didn't get to meet the ones from out of town, but BIG UPZ to: Jeff and his friends (Tyson, Steve, and another who I've forgotten...), Jason, John, Art, Beh, Ryan, Pierre, Peter, Navid, Chris, Az, Ron, Craig, Sarah (Waxen and Skipper), Frank (E*Master and Cuzo), Jazmin, both Mikes (Mike S. and non-TA), Jenna, Joe, Russ, Drew, Graham, Margs, Tara (I attempted a greeting...), Dan (awesome set once again), Ben, loconet (name?), Emery, Ziggy, Mirza, Kim and her work buddies, Nat, Ari, Luca, and god only knows who else, I tried my best to remember!!
Bigger upz to Swamper of course.
Emery, Nat told me at the party that the girl was NOT partyprincess. Unless you're talking about someone else this time...
Anyway, good times were had by all. I did jet early, and I'm not going to get into that here, but I was still having a good time.
Bring on invasion #3! Hopefully we'll hear some techno at that one! No jungle though, because the lighters would not be good for that VIP room!
Edit: Hardly had anything to drink, I was seriously having so much fun with Cattaneo's set that I just forgot about the booze for an hour and a half... yeesh... sorry Greenhorn, next time.
