I disagree, many great movies have endings that are not always conventional.

And appearently the bros have already said "dur...matrix within a matrix" is not how it ends up.

are u fuckin stupid?!! did u even read what galvatron said?? if he is right then the matrix trilogy is one of hell of story. and besides, even if what he said turns out to be wrong; there arent that many people out there who love the matrix films so much to make your claim (that the movies are the most over-rated in history) true!

usually ppl. like movies in which there is a human element, a human struggle in which the good guys win in the end...but if what that guy says is true, then there is no good guy, there is no 'real' conflict because it's all happening inside the matrix...so in the end ppl. will come away thinking 'what a bunch of crap, i cant believe i spent all that time watching a bunch of AI robots fighting each other'

besides, i think that ppl. will feel cheated and will not consider that matrix trilogy as great as it is if it really turns out that way because of what i said...i dont think the producers would want that to happen...thats why i doubt the validity of this theory..just my 2 cents..

Umm... have you ever read any literature?

how old are you? 10? 12? 8?
anyway...who the fuck is "galvatron"? is this guy supposed to convince me that the matrix story is so "Great?" gimme a fucking break, wtf is so special about the story? the only thing that keeps me awake in these movies are the action/special effect scenes...the acting, plot, the pointless dialogue are terrible...at least for reloaded...the first one was at least ok

not much since i graduated high school, im an engineering major, so i tend to read mostly technical books...lots of them...its been a long while since i read any fiction

besides, i think my point is still valid, considering that most of the ppl. who will be watching the trilogy will probably not be english/literature majors, and those are the people i was talking about.

No ... freaking ... way. This is hollywood we're talking about. I'll shoot myself in the foot if this guy is right. First of all, I thought about the question of the first EMP blast in the Matrix 1 immediately and I thought that the author did a poor job of dispelling that argument. He claims that it's possible that they, the humachines, "woke up" after the blast without realizing their period of unconsciousness. I find two faults with this argument ... first, an EMP blast does not merely render electronics "unconscious." It essentially induces damage by producing a tremendous surge in current or voltage that overheats or even melts the electronic device. Therefore they should have been destroyed. However, if you make the assumption that they have adaptive, damage control devices caapble of self-repair (a very large assumption), then why didn't the sentinels (who would be similarly equipped one would like to think) wake up at the same time that the "humans" did? Maybe this guy addressed this issue but I'm too lazy to read every post in that thread.
