Maybe he needs some place mats

Smoking ..umm..something Ok....

Sorry, left my comp for the weekend. Great suggestions and I did consider Boundaries by Armin. Awesome mixes especially with gamemaster. Probably my favorite of all time. I didn't uses ISOS III because I know too many people who loose interest in the CD after track 4 or so. Please dont regard this as me saying after that track sucks because I love ISOS III more than any other, Nyana included, because of the memories i have of it (listened to it at Tiesto's record release party for instance.)

Yes, I am burning 100 cds and distributing for free to people who wouldn't buy Tiesto's cds anyway. I think gettin the beats out there is what matters. I love Nyana CD2 and decided that would be the best as a result of how new it is, and specific tracks that alone could pull someone into trance such as Andain - Beautiful Things, and Motocycle - As the Rush Comes. Lastly, Nyana is new and fresh which is always a plus.

Please, keep the input coming!!!

first of all, those songs won't get anybody into "trance" because they are more like progressive. unless you're like "this is trance, do you like it?" they're not going to think it's trance.

second, one of the best things about trance is the atmosphere. nyana has no atmosphere. tiesto basically says (on cd2) "hey these are what the top djs are playing right now. i didn't bother mixing them because the tracks speak for themselves. okay, tijs, that's fantastic but the cd sucks balls as a result. the track list from cd2 is great, but it is a horrible CD, especially if you're trying to get people interested in trance.

if you want to get people interested in trance, play one of oakenfold's 1999 essential mixes for them. space@ibiza was what got me and countless others interested in the genre. it blows nyana out of the water. if you don't understand that, maybe you shouldn't be the one dictating what people ought to listen to.

You could use the reflection from the sun (off of the CD) to burn ants on the ground. Then tell everyone you've created a new ant burning invention.

Red face hahaha

Of course i say, this is trance. Further, i tend to always explain to the differences between certain genres of electronica. I can't believe you don't think Nyana is awesome?! The mixes are fucking amazing and the track selection is second to none right now. What cd has been released in the last month or two that comes close? I'm just trying to spread electronica to a wider audience. More people listening I don't has ever been a bad thing.

by now you're making a joke of yourself. i can tell very easily that you're not qualified to distinguish between subgenres of electronica. the mixing in nyana is awful and in saying it's "fucking amazing" you're labeling yourself a novice ear. if you want better mix compilations from the past couple of months: gatecrasher resident transmission 2 has a comparably (to nyana) good tracklisting and better mixing but the flow is pretty weak (not as weak as nyana). i am digging lost language exhibition mixed by solar stone and ben lost. this sounds like a professionally done mix (solar stone are very good), which can't be said for nyana.

expand your horizons, stop listening to just the most hyped up shit... because it's generally not the best. you come off like an idiot trying to defend something that isn't worth defending.

John 'OO' Flemmings Euphoria level 2 is far superior then Nyana IMO, and they share all the blockbuster tracks.

Rasta Reply to All

Why is it that so many people here seek to destroy others opinions and efforts in the trance scene? Is it not a good thing to be spreading the beautiful music we all love? I seek only to spread the music to people who would go a lifetime without ever hearing such Andain - Beautiful Things. Now that's a shame.

I greatly appreciate all your input as many of these suggestions I would have never known about. I try to follow trance i much as i can, but there's always too much to keep up with. Suggestions of where i might be able to get some of these great sets besides tranceaddict would be nice to know

Thanks again for all your replies.
