I had this problem as well. Demo set after demo set the same thing... 1 or 2 song just a bit off. i know how you feel and it fukin sucks... but then i just said fuk the recording and then i would grab a few beers start to feel realy good (not to many just like 2 beers) and then i would go back to the decks and slam out the best set i ever spun without the recorder on. so this is what i did... i didnt record for about 2 months and just let go, had fun and didnt even think about that shit anymore... then one day i had my beers and hit the decks. sliped a MD in my MiniDisk and hit record... just put a set together of my new shit and hit evey mix... some good some great but they all were on. thats the only recorded mix that i have and now i spin out at a lounge/bar... oh yeah, dont change anything just because your spinnin out at a bar or for people... i still sit and drink a few beers with the people and then even end my set a little before they close the bar so i can go see what they think. i dont have the balls to ask the owner to record my sets yet! only because i know it would fuk me up... oh and it helps you DJ if your a perfectionist but sometimes it can realy piss you off. just go with it and dont think to much. good luck!
