as to motherboard make, ive owned asus and ECS boards, DONT get ECS, ive had no problems with my asus boards. also used ABIT on a mates pc and id recomend them as a brand, as well as gigabit and epox besure to read up on www,amdmb.com forums in the forum specifically for each brand to see if theres any majour problems with the board your thinking about

Thanks so much people. ABT your exactly right...i was running 128 MB of SDRAM, and had an Athlon 900...yep pretty old.
