Best. Sunny. Ever.
What a fantastic party this was. From go to whoa, non-stop, killer tracks aplenty, laughing, dancing, drinking, its all good baby.
At previous sunny's, i was not a fan of the venue, the pub, turned into a club with rooms here there and everywhere, just didn't do it for me. However, due to the sheer number of people, they decided to open up the ground floor. This is where the action took place. And hell, y'know what? I like the ground floor. Got dance floor, got bar away from dance floor, and the expected random chairs and tables for chit chats.
So we waltz in just around 12 and after scoping around for awhile, i queue up to dump my jacket in the cloakroom. Following that, we head to the upstairs main room to check out a bit of Jono Fernandez. Nice set there, didn't stay long, but he did drop Chable and PQM's remix of you are sleeping so i knew it'd be a top night. Trying to meet up with friends i noticed how quite it was upstairs. Thinking this rather odd, we head on down to the ground floor. Fark, how did we miss it? People. Everywhere. Dancefloor was packed. Bar was full and it was an effort and a half just gettin' around.
Wasn't that much of a surprise though, Nu-breed were on and kicking into what would be one hellova set. Filled with old stuff, recent stuff and new stuff. People dancing merrily away and a definite vibe was building in the room.
So, here's everyone! Found all the rest of the crew and proceeded to get jiggy with it. It? The music... duh. Party vibe was building and building.
What is it about the live set? There is just so much more energy that is poured out by the performers. This energy transfers itself to the crowd, who in turn, get the performers going again. The Nu-Breed peeps were jumping around, bouncing along, loving performing. Top Notch.
Slight Pause whilst the tech crew set up and then Bam! Infusion were up and they grabbed the vibe and ran with it!
Fark, these guys never fail to impress. Once again their energy on stage and the booming sound meant they ended up delivering one hellova set. And they did it without the monitoring speakers! Damn, talented to say the least. Highlight was their mash up mix of the ghostbusters theme. Had everyone going ballistic.
Bustin' makes me feel good!
All the tracks, Dead souls, Legacy etc. were all played. Christ, when are they playing again? hahaha...
Overall the crowd was an interesing mix. Regular sunnyers, breaks peeps, prog peeps and those who heard of Infusion and thought they should go along. Some people had no clue (like those asking Infusion to the the Junkie XL remix of Legacy). Er..... how does 'no' sound?
All in all, a splendid evening. Great vibe, great party. Now, i need to make my own music. All i need is money, time, patience and talent. Hmm... at least i got the talent.
hahahaha....
