Thats rediculous- why reinvent the wheel?
They do the same thing and can do it for cheaper-
Theres a big difference between artistic and electronic
creativity.

/me stears the topic off even more..

Because unless you orignally designed it, it's not your wheel to copy. Thus making it nesessary to reinvent it...

Its like this.. I'm going to make an account called xKaoSxx and that will be my name from now on. Would you like that very much?
Would you think that be an honorable thing to do? Even the name is similar, (plus some marketing tricks).
DJM 600
DJX 700
They used the first two letters as the same (thats fine, it is dj equipment). Then they replaced the M with X (a slightly more advanced sounding letter I sopose). Then they replaced 600 with 700 , a form of subliminal influence, trying to say.. 'more advanced' or better.. (I've done a small bit of research into advertising and marketing )

If you think companys should not bother 'reinventing the wheel', why have I not seen any other companys blatantly rip off pioneer? Because all mixers would be the same then...

Bottom line is if there wasnt a demand or the quality sucked- it wouldnt exist. It's called competition.
There IS a demand obviously-

[above post edited ^^] That isn't the bottom line. Respond to my post. I'm argueing the morality of directly ripping off another mixer like that.. not it's existance buddy.

well- us stupid americans lack morals in general.
there is no copyright infringement else there would
be lawsuits.

are you saying you buy brand name ALL THE TIME?

What kind of tv do you have?

The Best one? or the one you could afford?

What kind of computer?

Generic? Why did you buy generic- why didnt you buy a dell?
or a compaq? or ibm? They invented the stuff- you going to pay $2000 for theirs when you can get a generic for $500?

If ANYONE can do the same thing for any product and maybe lose a little bit of quality and make it 50% cheaper- its going to happen.
Its not a morality issue- it's back to a competition issue.

Usually, but it is not exclusivelly.
What kind of tv do you have?
Panasonic and Sony (Mom's)

The Best one? or the one you could afford? Both

What kind of computer?
I build my own desktop, from hand picked parts.

Generic? Why did you buy generic- why didnt you buy a dell? Yes, because you cannot build laptops (well mostly) In general, any computer you can buy at best buy is garbage.

or a compaq? or ibm? They invented the stuff- you going to pay $2000 for theirs when you can get a generic for $500?
The generic <$1000 computers have cheap garbage parts , don't upgrade well, have underpowered power supplies, don't stand abuse, have bad support, have shitty integrated graphics, and do not last. Period. Computers are a different matter. Xerox had a GUI before Apple and Microsoft. I'm not complaining. Why? Because they were work differently inside AND out..

If ANYONE can do the same thing for any product and maybe lose a little bit of quality and make it 50% cheaper- its going to happen. I'm not disagreeing with you.
Its not a morality issue- it's back to a competition issue. Nope, I'm not really disagreeing with you. I'm sure it works just fine, and the price is good, but IT STILL IS A STOLEN DESIGN

Just because someone can do it for cheaper and it does the same shit, does not mean it is morally right.

If the world was that morally right we would be sliding down dinosaur backs and flying into our stone wheel'd cars still.

Did you see the rest of my text? (bold in the quotes under yours)

I'm not saying the world is morally right. But doing any type of direct ripping like that is an absolutely SHITTY business practice. Thats what I said from the start. What the **** are you trying to argue? I'm not saying its a bad mixer, I'm not saying the world is perfect, I'm not saying anything other than I DONT AGREE WITH THAT AMMOUNT OF DIRECT, BLATANT RIPPING.
