Sgtfoo: i understand what you feel, i felt the same at your age. The thing its always been that way, girls wanting to be with older guys.
Its not that complicated to explain.
Girls need security and they will find a mate that can supply them with lots of it. A guy your age (i dont know you personnaly, i am generalizing) is at school, without cash, no social status (a job), no house of your own, your testosterone is at 200% high and you need to have every girl out there, etc etc.
Shortly, you can't supply material, emotional and psychological security to the girl.
I am not saying that 25yrs old guys aren't taking advantage of this situation, of course they are. But that's part of life.
I am 24, I knew my gf when she was turning 18, i was 21.

Yea you got me scoped i think, except I can provide emotional and maybe psychological security...
and as for the ppl who've said their cases aren't extreme enough, that's fine, they've helped explain even more.
And I totally understand how all the 17 and younger kids are all thugs and trying to be something they're not, due to identity crisis, so I guess it's all their fault that the ladies are looking further up the ladder. I gotta say though, casseiopea made a good point, but with all things there are exceptions. And Ian's case would be really weird in mu opinion. If I dated a 14yr old, she'd be the same age as all my younger brothers' friends...whoa shit, that's weird, and awkward. and Phlotron, I feel your pain.

My Ex-Girlfriend left me (18) for a 25 year old guy with no job. Every once and awhile she calls me and tells me how much of an asshole he is too her. I'm sitting here on the phone and I just think to myself "Why don't you just fucking LEAVE HIM THEN." I never really understood it either. I see it all the time, girls dating guys who are far much older then them. There should be a boundary, because these girls who think that guys are "understanding" them or are more "mature" are just using that to get into your pants, because they want to have sex with a virgin or whatever. It's messed up, but there really is nothing you can do about it. I always thought it was the girls who were manipulative, but I have started to look the other way, mostly with the older guys who take these very young girls and manipulate them into thinking they love them, and then when they finally get some, they act like they never met. Whatever...I guess I started ranting.
