most of the quality is actually not in the coffee shops. People grow better stuff at home, not that I smoke it but my friends who live there will argue you to death that the residents of Rotterdam will outgrow anyone haha.

Then again, my friends in Switzerland say the same thing, so its a toss-up I guess

I just think that these are some great "things" to see in your country.
Sure call it detestable, but I think LockheedMartin is a very interesting company either way. They make a lot of ultra-high-tech products like stealth bombers and guided missiles, I find these things hugely interesting from a technical point of view.
The Pentagon is a unique and huge building with your country's military command and all kinds of other stuff inside and was hit in the 911 attacks.
These are just places and things I've seen a thousand times in films and on TV, and I would love to have a look at them for real.
For instance take my home town, Amsterdam, The Red Light District could be qualified as "detestable" on various grounds and still millions of tourists want to see it!! same thing IMO.
I'm just saying you live in a very special country which influenced our country a LOT and still does every day! (visit Amsterdam one day and you'll see why)
So these places/things are very facinating to me and whether they are detestable is another discussion.

Btw nobody pays 80% tax in Holland, we do pay quite a lot I think, but we tend to help also a lot of other (elderly,poor,jobless,handicapped) people with that taxmoney, so I'm fine with it.

and yeah the Dutch WEED is rocking with tha best!!!!
