I downloaded Mozilla but after a while it ate all my memory in a zip! and then the CPU usage ran up to 99%...and don't forget that I have 1024 mb of RAM.

It doesn't clear the memory either when you exit that damn program...other than that, it loads pages very fast, but I still can't use it when it chews up my RAM for nothing...

Or maybe it was because my harddrive got overloaded with porn?

Sounds like you either have a f*cked up computer, or you did something very wrong..

5. It minimizes (can be disabled) to the system tray, saving even more space.

It also looks good.

i used to use opera, but it seems it just eats computer resources for fun and caused to crash my computer many times. Now sticking with IE Mozilla Firebird (or whatever it is called) is suposed to be top quality, just to lazy to download it

Yep yep, nothing like being at the library (locked up) terminals, clicking on their "telnet to library catalog" link, and then using telnet to connect to lynx.scramworks.net

IE
+ Works with almost all sites.
+ Doesn't take up much memory on windows machines
- Microsoft has made it
- Just for windows (and a bit mac)
- Slow rendering
- Nothing extra

Mozilla (www.mozilla.org)
+ Works on most OS/Platforms
+ Open source
+ Tabbed browsing
+ Pop up blocking
+ Load pages faster than IE
- Doesn't render all sites perfect (allthough it render perfect 99.99% of the cases)

Opera (www.opera.com)
+ VERY fast!
+ Works on many platforms, not as many as mozilla though...
+ Mouse gestures
+ Pop up blocking
+ Fast forward and fast backward
+ Not microsoft
+ A lot of smart "small feutures"
- Not open source (guess you don't care though...)
- Doesn't render all sites perfect (not as good as mozilla, but still good)
- Advertise banner in the upper right corner if you don't pay for it....

Okay, now you have read trough all that shit, wich is my favourite browser? The fact is that i don't really now, sometimes it's mozilla and sometimes it's opera, depends on...

Btw, why can't i post polls?!

sorry mozz is simply a pig. I use primarily opera (it's fast, efficient, and if the son of a bitch crashes you can go back to where you were. Whenever I need I.E. (link to another app like ed2k or something (sharereactor.com) i use that instead but for the most part opera is the way to go. It even has mouse gestures which make for *REALLY* efficient surfing. I can move through pages so fluidly its not even funny (faster than clicking the damn buttons on the side of my mouse nad feels more "natural").

firebird is an offshoot of mozilla aimed at trimming down the package size and making it more efficient

Firebird is a good browser and much less of a hog, but its mouse gestures are garbage. No matter what options I set or how short/long I take to do it, it just says "Mouse Gesture cancelled." Seriously, I can't even see in the statusbar what the gesture is before it says cancelled. I wonder if some of you people who list that as a feature have actually tried using it - it doesn't seem to work at all.
