Because not paying for it is theft. Not to sound preachy, because I've got loads of MP3s as well (I don't own turntables and can't really find much of the music I like on CD here in Toronto), but given an option like that, I think more people than you realize would pay for music. Especially from a more independent label like Hooj or any other small record label that people like and respect. The problem is that the record industry (with all genres of music) has ignored the new technologies and its possibilities. Now, people are just used to getting free music. In a lot of ways it's too late for the industry to try and adapt this way, but better late than never. Get used to this kind of thing, it's the future of "official" music distribution. And if you really think 1 quid per song is overpriced, you need your head examined!
