spending 4 hours on a bassline, and its still not finished is a waste, in my opinion...

plus... those cheesy k--b--k--b basslines got old a long time ago...

the sounds of the bassline is important... but the pattern of the bassline, the original pattern, is not less important then the sound

so if u wanna create a badass bassline try designing an original pattern of it...make some notes longer, some shorter... mess with Low Cut, so it wud "open" at the end of the loop, and "close" at the begining...

but k--b--k--b bassline is done....its history, forget about it

dont u think?

Depends on the style.
For most tracks in the Euro/HardTrance/Dance style, offbeat bass is still the best (it's popular for a reason), and a lot of artists use it.

That doesn't mean it has to be primitive, you can make it hard or warped or low and everybody adds a second bass-synth on top of it, so...

He has a point. People need to focus LESS on bashing and "oh this sucks because bee bee beep" and try to contribute instead.
