i am here.
there are different kind of breaks of course. there are the funky breaks (icey, baby anne, rick west, sharaz, etc), which actually started in florida. thats why i as well as many other people call them FLORIDA funky breaks.
now there is nuskool, which started in england. blim, rennie pilgrem, tayo, etc.
and i dunno about progressive breaks, they are still pretty new and done by a wide range of artists, momu, luke chable, etc.
and lemme tell ya something, funky breaks were big WAY before nuskool ever was. and imo, had it not been for funky breaks, all the beautiful breaks releases we are seeing weekly now would not be here. so dont knock funky breaks. if its not your cup of tea, leave it.
i'm sorry some morons claimed that all of breaks started in florida. thats stupid. but you should know that most people dont know shit anyway, so why believe them?
and i dunno for a fact, but i'm fairly sure funky breaks have been around since the early 90s, and that the nuskool scene wasnt much until the mid to late 90s.
so HA!
