Empires,Locking down and Spirit are the better ones,in tht order.

I listened to it for the first time hoping for a Behind the sun repeat and it wasnt there

You can buy it if u go by mp3 websites' famous words - If you like the artist then buy their CD.

It really depends....

Think of it this way, when an CD or an album for that matter is released the artist puts into mind everything that he wants to express as a musician. Here's my opinion about it:

1.) Nick (the real name of the guy behind Chicane) simply decided to broaden the fan base a little bit to reach the masses.

2.) He didn't mean to make it sound so "POP-py" but his intentions
were to make the album sorta different from Behind the sun etc...

3.) As a musician, he tried to TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT (musicians do that and Nick is indeed considered a musician isn't he?!)

If some of you guys are dissappointed with the album then that's your

If some of you guys are dissappointed with the album then that's your opinion but don't flame the guy for doin' his own shit and following his own path. That's what makes the music better or worse. If you examine the album, a lot of work was put into the production... A WHOLE LOT OF EFFORT (and props to Nick if i may add!!)

In my opinion, I think the album comes with good intention but it failed to come up with the expectation of hard-core Chicane fans since it really really sounds different from the other album/s.

My verdict: IT IS A MUST HEAR before it can be A MUST BUY...

PEACE YO!

Review

After listening Easy To Assemble 7 times, this is my review:
First of all I’ve put the tracks in a Different way, the way that I Like the songs te be heard.
I’ve given all the tracks two ratings, the first is a commercial rating (Is it good for the radiostations etc..) and the second is a “Chicane Fan” rating.

1. Arizona (Part 2)
This is absolutely one of the best tracks and I really don’t understand why they put this number in the middle. It’s just a masterpiece for opening a Chicane album, like we’ve all seen at FFTMC and BTS.

Commercial: 1/10 Chicane Fan rating: 9/10

2. Kilometre
I Think this is the best song on the album. It is an typical chicane track that like Andromeda and The Drive Home. Very nice!

Commercial: 2/10 Chicane Fan Rating: 9/10

3. Locking Down
This will be nick's next single. It is a really good song with strong vocals, although I do not know what this African woman is singing. Hopefully the radiostations will play this track. (Like they DID NOT with Autumn Tactics….)

Commercial: 5/10 Chicane Fan Rating: 7/10

4. In Praise of The Sun
Well, I know this song for a while, it is much of the same. It is not annoying listening to it but it is not a track that I would hear more than I played all the tracks from FFTMC and BTS.

Commercial: 8/10 Chicane Fan Rating: 4/10

5. Something Wrong
When I listen to this one I get a bit of irritated, this track is nice but it could be so much better. It is a bit of Chicane with the “new” vibe. The most of you like this one, why?? I do like it from 2:08 till the end.

Commercial: 5/10 Chicane Fan Rating: 5/10

6 . Daylight
When I listened to this one I thought: Why isn’t this the next single? I really like this track but I am afraid I do not like it after 30 times listening.

Commercial: 9/10 Chicane Fan Rating: 7/10

7. Spirit
The voice of Jewel isn’t used the way it should. It is a nice POP (I hate this word) song but no chicane song at all.

Commercial: 7/10 Chicane Fan Rating: 2/10

8. Some Might Say
This is house, this track belongs to Dirty Vegas, Daft Punk etc but not to Chicane!!

Commercial: 6/10 Chicane Fan Rating: 2/10

9. Empires
For all of you guys the best song, I think that’s Kilometre but Empires is a good second!
Really like this one. It’s a typical chicane track.

Commercial: 2/10 Chicane Fan Rating 8/10

10. East Site Story
Well, I am not going to waiste my time rating this one. This song must be at Bryan Adams Albums not on ETA!! It is Awful! Bryan Adams fans will like it.

Commercial: 7/10 Chicane Fan Rating: 0/10

11. Love on the run
At last, the first single. We all know it had to be the extended version but it isn’t. Why??
The album is 55 min, there is enough space!!! The first 20 times I listened to it I liked it, I do not play this track any more.

Commercial: 7/10 Chicane Fan Rating: 6/10

That’s it!!

Well done with the comment above though..

some tracks still remain Chicane sound but some just turn to be very poppy to reach the masses market

FFTMC - 9/10
BTS - 8/10
ETA - 7/10

P.S. Empire reminding me of "Hybrid - Finished Symphony" tho.
