the mk2 pro's have a lower profile platter

with regards to wow & flutter ratings, they are not as low as technics, but are perfectly good enough to beatmatch something for years. techs = <0.035%, vestax <0.075%. the rest of the pro's far outway the cons too!

with regards to looks, the pdx2300 mk2 pro looks very similar to the standard pdx2000, with added digital display (useless) and pitch bend stick, also comes in black:

i will stick my neck out, and say that this is THE best deck on the market, for djing purposes at least.

I got the PDX 2000 and totally agree with tu_face. Who said that these ******s are not durable? I´ve got them 4 yrs. now and they never ever failed me. I used them on lots of raves- in the humidity of England, in the desert of Spain, with lots of sand... no probs. Even with a lot of wind the arm didn´t skip.

I don´t hear any sound difference towards the Technics... and I think they are more accurate and with a hell of a motor u can do everything.

Only problem- and this goes out to the clubs and organisers. Why always have the ol´ Technics set up?

Never used the Vesatx, but I have previously owned the TTx-! and currently have Techs. The Numark was a toy. I hated it.

I'm not trying to argue or anything, but what specifically is bad about them? I've never used anything other than my TTX-1's so I have no benchmark to compare them to.

when i used them it seemed very plasticy and looked like it wouldn't last too many years. could be wrong though, it might still be here in 20, but it doesn't look/feel like it will

Thanks for the replies about the Vestax.

I've decided i'm going to go for the pdx 2300 mk2 pro turntable's accompained with either a allen & heath mixer (xone 02,32 or 64) or a vestax, with shure whitelabels!

By the way is the xone 32 or 62 moderately ok for scratching? not too excessively, but for a beginner like myself to practive on?

I'll need to start saving now...gd job that xmas is round the corner - i can use some of my money to save for them

Edit: I'm going for the Ecler Nuo 5 mixer instead of the vestax or a&h

There is only one A&H mixer thats good for scratching and its a battle mixer. If you want a four channel mixer with effects that is awesome for scratching check out Ecler's new mixer.
