there should be an option to set up your router as a DHCP server.
look in the book that came with it.
now that your DSL Modem is connected to your Router, connect your router to the HUB.
Now connect all your computers to the hub.
there is no need for you too have two Nic cards in your main computer.
just connect one of the NIC cards to the hub via a Cat5 cable (as is the means you should connect all the other computers).
now you will go into the TCP/IP settings for your nic card for each computer, in windows XP this is where you right click on network neighborhood and go to properties, then you right click on the TCP/IP connection and click properties. then I don't remember what you press, but you will go to a window where you can set your IP address. set that to "Obtain IP address automaticly". this will make all your computers on your network obtain a private IP address from your router.
This will make them be able to communicate with one another over the network and be able to access the router which will be routing information from the internet which it obtains thru the IP address the ISP gives the DSL modem.
whether that IP address changes or not will have no effect on the computers on the internal network. Your Router (which has two IP addresses, the internal private one and the external ISP dictated one which it uses to connect to the internet) will deal with IP changes for the internet IP on its own.
look in hte manuel for your router and it should say somethign about configuring its TCP IP settings so it obtains its IP address automaticly from the ISP and it serves as a DHCP server on your network. (these settings should be configured by default and you shouldn't even have to mess with them).
