i want to buy a Behringer VMX-200 since i have a gemini ps626 right now and i want a mixer for scratching w/ curve adjust.
is it a good choice? you say behringer´s products are good but will they support scratching?
what about the xfader curve adjusment, does it really change the cut time?
peace

Don't take my opinion too strongly here, since the only time i set the curve to a scratch curve on my roommate's vmx300 was when i was drunk, and only once, but...

When i did that...it seemed like there was a lot of travel before the cut on compared to my gemini (which is actually a cheaper mixer)...i didn't really like it, it definitely made me worse than on my gemini. It kinda takes away from your speed potential.

Other than that it wasn't bad...and it might just have been that i needed to get used to it. And it does have the hamster switch if you're into hamsters. However...there are probably better ones out there for the price if you're into scratching.

depends what you want to do with it. If you you do need effects and 5 audio sources, get the DJX700.

If you don't need effects or 5 audio sources, get the VMX2/300 (200 for 2 audio sources, and vmx300 for 3 audio sources).

On the other hand, you never know you might upgrade your setup with CD players, or extra turntables or whatever you wanna attach to your mixer. For a little bit of extra money, you can buy the DJX700. I'd say you get that!

yea, thats the reason i brought my DJX700. got a pair of cdj100s on their way to me next saturday, so i wanted a 4 channel mixer. and thought this one looked good.and i stil love it a real bargain, but dont expect miracles from it, remember its only £250 rrp so dont expect it to kick the shit out of the djm600, cus it wont.

All you DJX700 owners out there....

You say not to expect this mixer to compare to the DJM500/600. Can you guys be more specific about which aspects of this mixer dont compare? Is reliability, quality, feel of the components, effects? I'm willing to get this mixer if the EQ's and faders are real smooth. I could care less for the effects and beat counter and all that junk.
