I don't know how long I'll last in any school right now, it just doesn't feel like its for me (at least right now) but I think I'll tough out this semester, then go away somewhere.

you know what, tough it out, and stay

my first semester was the worst. i was a standard B-student in high school, in my first semester at SFU i went on academic probation as a matter of fact a friend of mine did too and his gf hehehe

after that, it gets easier cause you get to know the system, how it works. i noticed that profs who teach first year courses are assholes, feels like they are trying to scare you away. as you get into higher lever courses, profs get nicer and more comprehensible

Brian has been wanting to go to SFU for a while now, i talked to him a couple of weeks ago, he was super excited, wish i could be that excited about school

erik, where are you at right now?

Let's face it folks, it's not where you go to school but what you do after you get out. I went to "Dougie Daycare" and graduated with a computer information systems diploma. After I graduated I started reading more than I did while I was there and still continue to do so.

I am at Athabasca finishing my last year of the B. Mgmt and working full-time. Out of all my friends with degrees I earn more than anyone of them. There are exceptions like friends that have a Masters or are doctors but regular degrees don't mean much these days. Realize that once you get out of school you are just beginning to learn and that will never end.

Also NETWORK! NETWORK! NETWORK!

sfu is very depressing on days like today, especially when its winter, it gets dark at 4pm, its foggy 15hrs of the day, its constantly raining and all you see is this grey architecture.

weird how i saw rob and caleb today tho, of all the people

at home in new west. I failed last semester at school so now I have to wait until January to repeat it.

anyways I found that first year wasn't the hardest, just the most intimidating. 2nd was harder but most people weren't as psyched out.

Hey guys, I'm a first year student at UBC. I'm new to this town (I'm from near Toronto) so any help with respect to good clubs, maybe some guestlist hookups (wink wink haha) is always appreciated. Hopefully I'll be able to stay active on this board as well but first year can sometimes be a bitch.
