the war continues.. cd vs vinyl. i have played on both, but definitely prefer vinyl. everyone's heard it, its the control of the track right at your fingertips with no computer in between. also, about the sound difference- right now i have two JBL LX44s and these babies have supreme sound quality and bass.. you can hear the difference. vinyl sounds warmer, no one and zeros, just pure analog waves

i'm not trying to perpetuate the cd vs. vinyl war here. most people would rather spin one or the other, i'm not asking wich one is cooler, or wich one sounds better, or whatever, I asking (to djs that play both cds and records) would you rather spend the money on two or three (or more) records to get the mixes of a song that you like or just buy a cd single for about the same price as one record, maybe even less. i'm digging both formats, there are pros and cons to each and there is plenty of music out there that is onlyl available on vinyl to fill my need for records so i would just as soon buy a song as a cd single and save some cash, especially if there are a few remixes of a song that i want.

im not aginst vinyl djing, but once i asked a guy why does he spin with vinyl instead of cd's. he said he likes vinyl becuase without it he wont be cool when he dj's. also he said that dj's who use cd's are cheap and unreal. i personally use cd's becuase thats wat i prefer. but for me i dont have anyting against someone who choses to use cd's or vinyl, or even a tapedeck. as long as you can send out the tunes through the mixer, then its all good.

given the choice would you rather buy songs on vinyl or cd? the reason i ask is that i bought AvB Yet Another Day on cd for like $11 and it has 6 mixes of the song on it, if you wanted to get all of these mixes on vinyl it would cost considerably more than $11. I was on dancegrooves.com looking for some music and they have Summer Calling on cd with 5 mixes for $8.80, seems like a no brainer but there is just something about adding to my vinyl collection. Your thoughts........

Using CDs to me is not very involving. It's so much easier imo to mix w/ cds... and i get bored of it quickly. BTW, AVB's dub of Yet Another Day RULES! Such a nice tune.
