ok i dont know where to begin!
this is the best movie that has come out in a LONG time....
its greatly made in a theatrical and litrature sense (3 acts, metaphores... yada-yada)
it is probably the most thought out movie i've ever seen and is VERY VERY DEEP! by this i mean very philosophical... it brings out lots of issues (if you're not lazy to think for yourself) including trying to tackle the biggest ones of them all, What is life (i think therefore i am?) and the meaning of life... ok its kinda hard for me to say and express all this stuff especially in writing, i guess you just have to meet me or get in my brain (btw i dont do drugs, hehe) but belive me there is so much going on in that movie that most will not pick up on it.
(if you havent seen the movie dont read'em unless you want to ruin the plot)

Jay D...Stanley Kubrick is a famous screen writer/director..etc. He has made many famous movies...A Space Oddessy 2001...i think thats the title...also Eyes Wide Shut with Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise. He is known for out there concepts. My parents and sis went to see A.I. and they thought the movie could have been so much more then it was. They didn't want to spoil the plot for me so they couldn't get into great detail as to what they felt was lacking. But they warned me to wait until it comes out on vid. They are always on the mark with their reviews so I'm gonna take their advice and not waste $8 to see this movie in the theaters.

OK, I just saw the movie and I give a 7/10.
You defintely know when Steven Spielberg comes in a takes over where Stanley Kubrick left off for Spielberg. Originaly Kubrick wrote the script, died before he could finish it, then passed it to Spielberg. It would of been nice to see how Kubrick would of ended it. I would of given it a 10 but Spielberg lost me during the "stadium scene". All in a good movie to see.
Oh yeah, JayD. Kubrick's best (my opinion) movie was either Clockwork Orange or the Shining. Man knows how to move you in a movie.

It's a good movie in my taste. The previews were lame cause they didnt want to give anything of the movie away. I didnt even want to see it, but my friends persuaded me, since it was a Spielberg film and starred the boy from Sixth Sense. But when I saw it, it was really (long, but) good. The only thing I'll say about the story, is that it is Pinochio (however the hell you spell it) in the far future.

Thanks Twilo, Eyes Wide Shut was a good movie IMO. The average person would think it was weird/stupid. Dont listen to other people, spend $8.00 and go see the movie for yourself. It is great!

Yea, this movie was definitely one of the best of the year. My 3 friends that went with me to see it didn't like the ending at all, saying that it could have been done without out it...or ended differently. I myself loved the ending. What I loved most about the movie is that you could not predict what was going to happen next...and every scene fit perfectly into the story to make it *complete* unlike so many other shit movies today.
This was definitely a film that Kubrick/Speilberg fans should take a definite liking too.

you see thats exactly what i meant by people passing over very important points in the movie... the whole point about the "stadium scene" was to bring out the tremendous irony where mobs of people, in the name of asserting their "humanity," flock to stadiums to cheer the spectacular destruction of old robots and in the process seem less human than the machines. after givng them the robots the perfect ideals of humanity it turns around that we aren't the perfect beings.
get it?
for all you computer progammer geeks out there i thought it was funny how when he finally was in front of that blue angel he was stuck in a "while loop"
