I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to disagree with most of you guys. I thought Armin was extremely disappointing tonight. Don't get me wrong... Armin is my #1 favorite trance DJ so I'm not trying to be biased. He never established a smooth flow with his set. It was just mainly track after track of classic anthems. When I got into the club at 12AM he was doing alright. Then he played PvD - Time of Our Lives which was awesome. BUT following it with YET ANOTHER DAY? What the heck was he thinking? From "oh this is the time of our lives" to "i don't like this place at all" what the hell was that? Evidently I wasn't the only one affected by this because I noticed that almost NOBODY was dancing to yet another day. Armin, I know you're MUCH more capable than what you've shown to your fans in NYC. Why do most DJs always feel the need to spin a harder set when they're in NYC?

best armin set i've experienced live in a long time, much better than some of the holland gigs i went to earlier this year. but still, nothing out of this world. it's armin, he still plays way too much fluff for my taste. but whatever, it was alright.

highlights were Forever Waiting with Summer Calling acapella

Traffic of course, as usual. Binary Finary-1998 (was it Gouryella rmx?), Communication, Blue Fear and some other classic. the only encore i liked was the Mark Norman, can't remember if it was Stream or Overkill.

Arc felt like a gay club sometimes, the male:female ratio was just too unbalanced. I think Armin thought this too when he played Yet another day after TOOL j/k .

also, i hope those losers that started screaming stupid shit at the end like "bring back Gouryella" or "tell Tiesto to go fuck himself" or "tell Ferry this" were not TAs. wtf, armin's response to those guidos was masterful. he said something like "you tell ferry" x3. it was great.

well, off to bed now. gotta get up for class in a few hours

Oh man I feel like shittt right now. I got no sleep and now i am at work. How much fun can i take in one day. Well I thought Armin's set was pretty good and enjoyed meeting some TA's out there. The vibe in there was excellent i just thought the girl/guy ratio was horrible. But, to listen to excellent beats and dance all night i think i can handle it.

All in all it was a good set, but it was the most boring set I've heard him spin. From start to finish he played fast, hard, progressive trance. he also played a lot of his own stuff - which for a cd release party, I guess that's what you're supposed to do. anyway, what made it boring from my point of view is usually he throws in some tech, techtrance, progressive house, a break here and there. but this set - he just didn't do anything. mixing was nothing spectacular. he can do much better.

LASERS were OUTSTANDING! they gettin better and better at Arc. Just wish the ceiling was a little higher for maximum effectage.
