Did you try seeing if you had any environments loaded sometimes that can mess things up.

That's what I first thought the problem was, but nope, all environments are off! I can't explain it! Do you think my speakers might be mono? That can't be! I dunno!

I'm not sure why your cd's are burning at low quality, but I do know that a new soundcard won't help. cd's are burnt digitally through the IDE interface.... It's got nothing to do with the soundcard.

Okay, uh just a correction about my problem, if anybody can help me out, is that when I put the balance to the left the sound fades completely! All the way left = no sound! So like I mentioned before, I lack certain elements that 'stereo' music has to offer! If somebody can be of assistance, it'd be greatly appreciated!

Did you make sure that all your wires are connected firmly???
