I find it funny that someone would think he sucks, yet say Lawler(who spins virtually the same thing as him) rocked...

especially when Satoshi is a BADASS turntablist as well...

open your mind, and close your fucking mouth. Trance isn't the only genre of music.

It's awesome. After I saw him I had to stay all day on bed... but it was worth it.

Steve Lawler does play a very similar style to Satoshi.

Sometimes it comes down to the pitch level and BPM that he (they) spin at. It can mean the difference between shaking your ass all night and falling asleep on the dance floor.

From what I've seen of both Lawler and Tomiee... they aren't that similar... Both quality DJ's who kept me dancing... But I def. give the edge to Lawler.. (but that might be becaues it was on the terrace @ Space Ibiza)...

But Lalwer is def. more tribal oriented than Satoshie who would be more prog??

Lawler plays more tribal... satoshi plays for turntablism and juggling but still more of a tribal proggy feel.

Satoshi is an EXCELLENT turntablist and he can mix 25 tracks in 40 minutes flawlessly, which is always a plus...

or he can play 6 tracks in 45 minutes.. FLAWLESSLY.

Don't you trance addicts remeber when a track was LONG and didn't suck?

I'll have to agree, Lawler is more tribal in sets, Tomiie much deeper, but non the less both are very good djs, saw Tommie last winter in T.O and thought he spun an awsome set.

Thats jsut my opinion.

The first of over 250 tracks Satoshi helped produce was released in 1989 and he's spun sets across the globe for over a decade; I believe he took up residency in New York City for much of that time period. Is that still considered "up and coming"?
