also alot of people on this board think reflections and connected are overrated tunes.
Now usually a dj will use his own productions for his set so if his productions dont live up then the overall set loses value

I think I know what he's getting at. See, like at least half of the tunes in PvD's sets are either his "reworks/re-edits" and remixes.
As most of us know, his productions are wank and lack the quality that other producers have like James Holden, Matt Darey, Tiesto, etc. Yes, the DJ Mag poll is based on DJ skills which PvD has I know that...but I think track selection has just as much to do with DJ skills as mixing does.
