Because many are aliases of a bigger artist. Many 12" releases get released in single CD form. Electronic music isn't setup like popular stuff, where an artist goes under one name and does 3/4 of the CD with 'filler' tracks (I don't listen to this stuff, so i wouldn't know).

Also, many DJ's spin on vinyl, so if they are released only on vinyl, then chances are they got most of the DJ's covered.

I could be wrong, and maybe someone who knows a bit more about this than i do can correct/add to what i've said.

I guess I am being too picky, but I've seen similar threads so many times, that in fact I wont bother listing any of my suggestions, cause I am too dam bored and lazy of it .... just did a thread yesterday about must have CDs ....

If you like progressive / uplifting trance, buy some gatecrasher albums. Many to choose from.
