Actually, all M3D models to have the pitch reset, that was one of the features added when they changed from MK2 to the M3D and MK3 series. As far as one stopping or starting faster, it can be mental, because all parts are the same inside, except for the circuit board that controls the pitch reset.
Damn if you can confirm that this is the only difference between the mk2 and the mk3d then fuck the mk3d I'm getting a pair of MK2s!!

That's not true, I got one of my m3ds brand new, still sealed in the original box for the discounted $300 price from GC a few months back. The sales rep even had to get the manager to make sure the price was right, though I think they both were wrong, as far as I know it was only supposed to be the demos that low. Hell I'm not complaining though
We still have a few m3ds around local record shops in town that are brand new, but unfortunately they're still selling them at $479. Apparently they don't realize they're discontinued.
