You answered yourself in your post. A lot of the great "underground" stuff is unreleased as you said. I constantly find myself going "wow" to some tune I never heard only to find it's unreleased. I don't know if these people aren't sending their tracks out to get signed or if the labels are just retarded. More often than not, the great stuff that isn't being caned is unsigned.

there are a lot of tracks out there that are totally popular.. like for instance if you go to dancerecords.com and search the site you'll find tons of songs that are well known... but if you search through the site you'll also find tite songs that aren't too popular. i was looking through dancerecords.com and previewed lots of good not-well known tracks. totally aweomse songs and i've never heard any hot djs spin it and none of my friends have heard it either. so in that way you still can find good music that even the most popular djs don't have... white labels are really the best way to go. to get a song on vinyl you'll have to wait until it is remixed about four times and then they will release the track to the public. if you don't want to wait around that whole time you can buy the white label and start spinning the track before anyone else has it..

btw... does anyone know when andain - beautiful things (g&d mix) is coming out!?

pEy

Cool

try spending time in the cd/new releases discussion on this site aswell as picking stuff up from music discussion, if often pays to listen to all the samples of the week's new releases at www.juno.co.uk then downloading the track to see what you think, i know that was has made me stumble upon a few gems before!
