I just installed. I enjoy being able to view all my music at once in the main window, click on a column to sort by name, genre, artist,... I just discover u can edit tag info directly in the main window. The display is very fast too. wow i luv it!!!!!!!!!!!
A nifty trick I learned only a couple weeks ago, if you select a large batch of tracks and then "Get Info" from the menu, you can batch edit the mp3 tags.
I have been using iTunes on my Mac since day 2 (I did not download it till the second day it was out) and I love the browse function and the playlisting. The only thing that sucks is their selection of default radio streams, but it will play just about any netradio stream if you get either the pls or the address of the server.

thx 4 the tips just figured that one out today.
Playlists are better than winamp. You can select a range of years and it automatically adds songs to the list! Like 80's music, of course ur songs must be tagged.

I never used the "smart playlist" feature, and I am a little leery of the whole "most recently played" feature. Overall though I have found that the interface is so smooth and intuitive that I don't have to think when I use it. I think the Sharing feature is really cool and I know had it been in the older versions of iTunes I would have used it a lot. But now I live alone and only have one computer so it is not an option I use.
I have been preaching the gospel of iTunes for years. I never used mp3s before I got it and went insane on Napster right after I did because it was so easy, powerful, and flexible. I had seen and used many digital music player programs and did not like them. I realized how good iTunes is when I tried to show my sister how to rip her music and burn cds with music match when she got her new computer. That was a nightmare
