For me I need a mix of music and an alarm. The music needs to be inviting and light-hearted but blasting. I think the best wake up for me is Paul van Dyk's Seven Ways. The startup of that cd is amazing, and it's a slow enough buildup to give me time to get into it. Then I always set my alarm for 7 or 8 minutes after my music starts. That way the music has a chance to get me goin so I don't get pissed at the alarm clock when it goes off. The big thing is the inviting music though, cause if it's remotely annoying, I'll just want to show it up by proving it's not gettin me out of bed .
