Just edited and reposted. Didn't feel like spamming it up with a new thread.
I took yous guys advice, and checked out eBay. I won a Technics SL-1200 Mk2 for about $300 USD. Not bad at all. Problem is, it does not come with Cartridge or dust cover. Yeah, I know, thats lame, but technics on eBay are gone really fast. Buyitnow is a wonderful thing when people don't notice and bid over. Anyway, suggestions for cartridge/what do do about dust cover?

congratulations! you will never know how good the technics really is if you haven't used a shitty belt-drive before
I use Ortofon Concorde Nightclub E as cartridges, but they are pretty pricy. You can get the same cartridge with the "DJ" needle instead or listen to someone else, cartridges are not my specialty.
about the dust-cover, you can have mine ! I've never used it in 8 years...just clean the damn thing once a week

Hey!
Ditch the Behringer mixers and go for either the Numark PPD-01, Stanton SMX-401, or the Vestax PVC-275 mixers.

Hm, I finally looked at the Vestax pcv 275... It's twice the price of the Behringer... I know sometimes it's better to save up for the more expensive stuff, but with mixers I don't always think that's the case. IMHO if someone is thinking about buying a "budget" mixer, suggesting something twice as expensive isn't always the most productive thing.

i did it slightly different, i knew how much vinil was gonna cost so i wouldent be able to get much right after buying my vinil decks so it would be pointless, so i went out and bought me some cd decks ( american audio psx's) since i allready have a large cd colection, this was cheaper then getting the vinil decks so i started buying the vinil and practiced mixing on the cd decks, i bought a tt-200 by numark and started mixing vinil on that now im upgradeing to the numark ttx1 (i prefer numark over tecs) along with my cd decks soon ill have enought money to buy another, (pls i had to buy a new mixer am getting it at christmas) n e ways end of storry i now dj in clubs and partys and get payed for it have a fairly large vinil collection and know how to mix on cd's and vinil. not bad. n e ways was just woundering what mixer dj dawn has...

i have a pretty unknown KME DJ-M1
here's a pic. I know people will start laughing at the way this is set up again, but I don't care!
it's all I need on less than 1 mē
I had it set up on a wide table when I was mixing more often and had more space in my last flat...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA......
i'm just kidding. that's actually kind of a cool set up. as long as you're not a turntablist then it really doesn't matter how your stuff is set up as long as it's all within reach.
