i'm aware politics is everywhere, but i was curious more so to encounters of politics in this particular area.

i'm not unfamiliar with club politics. i was amidst it all once upon a time. but those were within mainstream nights that pulled in crowds of at least a thousand weekly. lotta money made there, so lotta politics there, i understood.

any kind of electronic music genre tho, is not mainstream, so i cant imagine a lot of money to be made. crowds would be minimal, approx 500 ppl max? but u'd have an educated loyal following. i can only assume ppl would organise such nights to keep the music alive. very much like an indie record store. you wouldnt be doing it for the money, as long as there's enough to get by. now, because it'd be for the music, i don't understand scenarios like this.

why would an organization restrict the exposure of an aspirin dj to play music, espesh if its all about music. i'd understand if it was on the same night, but if not is "loyalty" really an issue to the group? should not the group be loyal to that particular music scene by lettin that dj play at other places?

mmm. i'm rambling.
