Another good point to consider a digital mixer for is easy connectivity via ADAT or TDIF (Tascam I/O). which cuts down on cabling volume, noise, and cost.
A basic yet good digital mixer that can run 96k is gonna be $about $2,000-$2,500 new, for either the Yamaha or Tascam. They depreciate so quickly becuase the next model renders tham obsolete in 18-24 months, analog boards don't really get upstaged too often (at least nothing under $150k).
