i could never go skydiving because i'm terrified of heights! I heard an awful story of an 11 year old boy who went skydiving to beat the world record of youngest kid to skydive and he looked terrified when he was standing in the plane looking out and after he jumped he froze with terror and never pulled the cord... just fell to the ground. yikes!

Theres no way they'd let a first timer jump on their own, no way.

When you do your first jump for your AFF (accellerated free fall), you've got one or two instructors jumptin g
with you , making sure you're doing the right thing.

Also, most of the current rigs that they use for training have an altitude sensor, so if you dont pull by 1200 ft it'll
deploy fo ryou.. at least in theory.

plane so you can see 9-way jumps go off as well 8) Rocks hardcore.

Skydiving is def up there as one of the most fun things to do with clothes on.. cept dont jump thru Hail! It not so much fun !
One of the biggest rushes' you're likely to experience tho, everyone who does it wants to do it again, so addictive

i admire those who have the balls to do it! the story was real, however, my best friend watched it on Real TV. I guess they let the kid do it because his parents were there and they were going for the world record. However, it was pretty stupid and the parents wanted it on tv as a warning for others. Im sure most skydiving companies wouldn't allow you to dive unless you had a certain amount of experience or assistance.

You have to have your AFF before they'll think about letting you jump on your own.

well at the place i jumped you need to do a course, that's like 10-12 supported jumps before you are qualified to jump solo. lots of $$$ though.

Yeah, they were american. I don't know much about american law so i don't know what the situation was. Sounds pretty dodgy though!

Yeah who knows.. its funny though how 'being american' has become a given in so many industries as to why something stoopid happened.

But yeah, Skydiving rocks !

he got what he deserved! and then that stupid siegfried whats-his-face claimed that the tiger was trying to save the guy from falling. well if i had a choice between falling on the ground or having my neck clamped by a mouth full of sharp teeth... i think the small tumble to the ground would of been a better option personally.

why wont people learn that wild tigers arent the same as guinea pigs.
