I don't think there's much emphasis on post count here, the fact that they're not displayed below our names probabaly helps.

Of course there's a tiny bit of emphasis, but the majority of forums i've seen are worse for it.

I've been around a long time on here, and I don't think theres much emphasis on post count. Although you may not be as well known as some if you don't post as often. I'd say I put in atleast 3-5 posts a day recently. But I was gone 6 months for training and 6 months for the war. So a total of about a year or more that I wasn't even really around to post, and I could see how much I really enjoyed not just being here. But the music itself while I wasn't able to be around it or the scene. If you're gone just one month from this scene you can fall behind a LOT! Mixes, sets, singles are all popped out and made old so quickly. Electronica is a genere that progresses (I think) very quickly and is constantly changing and generating new styles and ways of listening.

Hardly, they aren't even displayed underneath peoples names. On most other forums, post counts are a much bigger issue.

I like that the post count is not changed by the chill-out room so I can make useless posts in there. I had a flamewar with a moron on another board who was all gloating cause he had a enormous post count from posting lots of stupid spam posts with one or two words in them.

I prefer quality counting more than quantity.

But I think the no custom status until both 500 posts and six months are met is a cool thing.
