Robert Miles has done sooooooooooo much stuff
way too much to list here plus he has remixed and produced a lot of stuff for so many other people too.
I would be so bold as to say Miles has his own unique style, some people may not like it but hey no one can like every single track out there.
Children did it for so many, got them into the trance scene, but Children is in my opinion his best work.
I think too many people expect every single track by Miles to be like Children.
But i agree with JD there, it is one of those tracks that you can play at any time, anywhere and it will never get boring and people will stop and listen to it, dance to it cos we all know and love it.
Hate Robert Miles ? nah

Yep Roberto Milanio got me into Trance, and it was the first cd I ever bought(Children) in 96, funny enough hehe

Fantasya is also a good one

the good thing about Robert Miles is that he isn't fictile. I mean, he doesn't act the way like the world expects from him. Let's say, he's a sort of rebel in a certain way, his 'Organik' proves this. Like he said himself: 'my new album isn't like children, cause the children are grown up..'. Visit www.robert-miles.com and read his biography. I can ensure you, it's a very nice story. As many of us, he was the guy who had to start from zero to maybe become famous one day. He even was in red at the bank in his young years...I would say, go reading it! I admire this guy a lot, cause of his approach of music, his vision...maybe with his caracter, he isn't that famous these day, like he used to be in 1996 with children and fable.

The problem with Robert Miles is that his melodies are too catchy and cheesey. When i first started listening to trance i thought he was the best thing since slice bread. I don't hate him or think he is bad, but I dont want to hear Children anymore. So I understand negative sentiment around his music. He is one of a kind and has created his own genre, "Dream Trance", not many dj can claim to have done that!

why miles sux

Miles was great back in the day (Children, Fable, One and One, Freedom) but his new stuff is absolutely weird and boring. Anyone know he has a new album out? It's call "Paths" and it sucks. I really wanted to see him live and I did get the chance to do that at the Texas Zen Festival but he further reinforced my thoughts that he he's all washed up. He was spinning CD's for God's sake! The set lacked any energy and people were leaving the tent in droves. Hopefully he'll get back to his old self, otherwise stay away from him.

Robert Miles opened the door and showed me the light...
After I stepped through the door...
DJ Tiesto took my hand and guided me...
Robert Miles made a HUGE contribution to trance!
Now Trance itself has evolved, where are our "Children" headed?
