Look into the Pioneer CDJ-800. Right now Pioneer is offering a $100 rebate until November 1st (I think). So you can get one for about $500-$550 after rebate. From the research I did before I bought my CDJ, it seemed like people that were into scratching preferred the CDJ-800 over the CDJ-1000. I don’t scratch so I couldn’t tell you.

How much are CDJ 1000 MK2's?? The Pioneer website doesn't say. Anybody know??

If you are buying the pioneers to scratch with you will be disappointed.
Absolutely nothing like a real turntable

As someone said before- other cd drives offer a scratch facility- denons do from the 2100f and upwards- but they are worse than the pioneers

its about $999 or maybe cheaper on some online stores, i'm not sure.
