lol very funny
where are all the idiots who defended 2nd movie, excusing its suckyness by predicting the directors were saving the best for the last. This movie could be as bad as Gili and ppl will still run to see it cause all the hype and marketing behind it. I luved the 1st movie, too bad these guys just road on the coat tails of its success. I'm not goin to see this crap, saving my money for Return of the King. All hail Peter Jackson!

I've just got back from seeing it. I partially agree with bad reviews. There were some very weak areas.

I thought reloaded was good. It couldn't really continue to explore the Baudrillardian themes it did in the first without getting too overtly philosophical. The second installation explored issues of free will and The machines' inability to comprehend it. There was some great symbolism if you think about it... I used to thik I had pretty original views of the matrix films until i ran accross this site http://www.siliconyogi.com/andreas/...eloaded-118.htm

i read the usa today review. it was really stupid. they just make fun of the movie. i saw it last night and thought it was really good. although the ending was kind of eh, oh well ya know, it had to end somehow. either way, i think the critics are unhappy because these two matrix sequels were not as mind blowing as the first one. its hard to redo what the first one did, as i remember the first time watching it, wondering what the fuck happened and thikning it was really fucking cool at the same time. either way, i think this trilogy was great. if it came out all at once, i think there would be differetn reactions, but like i said, it is hard to create the "ahh" and mind blowingness (if that is even a word) that the first one created

Although all reports suggest that Matrix Revolutions is the end of the line for this series, a movie reviewer suggested today in an article that the movie leaves open the possibility for a fourth instalment. What he went on to say is that even this movie seems to have the same mystique as Reloaded. That is, not everything seems to be perfectly resolved as people seem to be expecting. Note, I don't actually think another film will be made since the producers, directors, actors have all been adamant that this is the end. But what seems to be disappointing is that the movie may not have come "full circle" as I expected. I watched an interview last night with Keanu Reeves and Jada Pinkett-Smith in Sydney. They were saying how the movie can be interpreted in a number of ways and there is not a single answer to every riddle. Having said this, maybe the fact that Revolutions does not answer all questions means that it will be a recurring case of everyone discussing the movie over and over until they finally realise, "Hey, I think I need to watch the film once again." Maybe this sort of plot makes the movies more intriguing in the first place. So my question to you is, "Would you rather that the movie resolves everything or are you happy to be left with an ending that maybe leaves you slightly in the lurch... leaving some questions unanswered?"
