A normal physically developed person ( has to sleep something about 5 hours, I usuallly sleep 6. It depends very much on your mood. If you say - "I will not fall asleep this night", it will help

I have the same problem. When coming home from a night out, (usually about 08h00 or so) I can't sleep come hell or high water. I find that the worst thing to do is to try and chase sleep. The best thing you can do is have some good friends over, relax and shoot the shit till you naturally drop off. For me, it's normally about 20h00 that night.

btw phaze...we are just taking a break from irc for now...too much pointless drama. i am going to this day care center today to drop off my resume so i am hopefully gonna start working i most likely have the job cuz mrx's sister works there already and she's gonna hook it up. anyway, we are moving also...i am soo excited! we are so sick of our apt. it's not the ghetto or anything but it is like in SOUTH SOUTH miami...like butt fuck miami. haha not near the beaches or anything and there's no pool or tennis courts or gym like most nice apt complexes have in south florida. we (err..HE..lol) can afford much nicer so we're gettin the f*** outta here

Never think about wanting to sleep. that makes you awake. It's real hard, but convincing your self you have to stay up actually does work, it makes you fall asleep. The worst thing is thinking about anything i stay awake forever if i do that.

ahhh...yeah i get this too often

well...i haven't found anything that works, so i just go and do something, watch telly, play computer games or work on my hobbies...then i get tired again and get some sleep

...i've tried listening to music in bed all the time, but i always find i end up staying awake longer that way...'cos i'm always listening to the end of the tune, then another wicked track comes on and it's a viscous cycle heheh!!

Umm...this one's frm my grandma ! It works very well...u sleep in 2 minutes...but its kinda boring so i only use it when i have to get up early the next day for an exam or something,so i've to get to sleep fast :
Choose some word/phrase and repeat it over and over again .... u'll crash in 2 minutes flat !

More enjoyable way is to listen to some repetitive music : Progressive trance or ambient...
