i understand what youre sayin about this new genre.. i guess djs like joy kitikonti are experimenting as well. some tracks, such as joydontstop, have this bouncing-bassline-tune with synths, and i guess until it a genre is formed around it, it will remain the "continuous bassline-melody, D&B-influenced, hard tech-electro-trance sound". maybe we dont really need any more trance genres (and goddamn there are way too many... also, because of the ambiguity of words, each genre title can mean anything to any one individual) until there is a significant amount of djs who play this style, and until it gets some extreme recognition, it will remain this "genre with no name". and honestly, i dont think there will be a ton of djs mass producing this style.. it will get overdone way too quickly, and so ridiculously repetitive...

Sounds a lot to me like techno, with a lot of stuff like DK- Murder Was the Bass and Mauro Picotto productions. However you haven't mentioned a really kicking beat, which is what techno tends to have, also its very rhythmn focused.

Possibly you're confusing techno or perhaps its just "soft"-techno so to speak.
