... even though "you're looking" are 3 words When you're talking about a language that you don't know, you often try to link it to your native language which is a big no no. Just like "tabehajimeru" in Japanese, for example, means "to start to eat": while they're using just one word, its translation to English needs more words.

Yeah I hate it when peope ask me how to say a sentence in Russian, and I tell them then they're like so word x means this... And you have to explain to them that its not a matter of just translating the words in the same order.

...I thought he meant that "et" = "and the". Which is a silly assumption to make because not all languages have definite and indefinite articles.

Although I'm guilty of the same mistake. I haven't done Latin since school so i'm pretty rusty and when i read "occuli tuus" i instantly thought of it in terms of russian and thought "that's wrong because tuus has to agree with occuli, so should be in the plural"... is that the case btw?
